Join the ride; Champion the cause
Baptist Bikers are cruising Interstate 29 this summer in support of the Heartland Interstate Strategy (HIS). The HIS I-29 Road Trip is scheduled to begin on June 19 at the campus of Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Kansas City. Riders from Missouri and other states will then ride north along the I-29 corridor and end their journey June 22 in Fargo, N.D.
Leading the effort are riders from the Missouri Baptist Bikers Fellowship, who invite Baptist bikers from across the nation to help them direct their passion for motorcycles toward ministry.
The road trip promotes HIS, an initiative to plant Southern Baptist churches in the largely unreached territory along the I-29 corridor, stretching from Kansas City to Winnipeg, Canada. During the ride, bikers are stopping at HIS hub cities, which include St. Joseph, MO; Omaha, NE / Council Bluffs, IA; Sioux City, IA; Sioux Falls, SD; and Fargo, ND.
In Fargo, bikers plan to work with local church planters to host a block party and motorcycle “show and shine.” Bikers also have the chance to win a door prize after completing a motorcycle run release form in Kansas City and picking up tickets for the run at each stop along the way.
Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary is providing Oklahoma Joe’s BBQ for the first 50 registrants.
