IMPORTANT INFO FOR HIS RALLY:
The Heartland Interstate Strategy (HIS) exists to transform our Heartland through planting reproducing churches along the I-29 corridor. This purpose will be accomplished as we do the following:
- Communicate Regional Needs
- Promote Partnership Opportunities
- Facilitate Local Strategies
During a November 2012 informational meeting in Kansas City, that included leaders from five state conventions (Missouri, Iowa, Kansas/Nebraska, Minnesota/Wisconsin, and the Dakotas), a strategy team was formed to encourage Southern Baptist church planting in America’s Heartland. The I-29 corridor was identified as an area in great need of churches. After some initial development, the Canadian National Baptist Convention joined the team and the vision for church planting expanded into Manitoba.
As the project moved away from strategy and towards implementation, a streamlined team including only one representative from each convention and a regional coordinator was commissioned.
